Visa

I. Important Notice (Please Read Before Registration)

  • All participants are solely responsible for arranging their own entry visas to Vietnam. The conference organizers do not directly process visas but can provide official invitation letters upon request to support your application.

  • Please allow sufficient time for visa processing (we recommend starting at least 4–6 weeks in advance).

  • Visa policies are subject to change. Please always refer to the latest announcements from the Vietnam Immigration Department and the Vietnamese embassy/consulate in your country.

II. Do I Need a Visa for Vietnam?

Please check your eligibility based on your nationality/passport:

  1. Visit the official website of the Vietnam Immigration Department or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to view the current visa-exemption country list.

  2. Passport holders from the following countries/regions typically enjoy 15–30 days of visa-free entry (exact duration depends on the latest policy):

    • ASEAN member states (e.g., Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, etc.)

    • Japan, South Korea, Russia, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and several other European countries (Please verify the official list as it is subject to change)

  3. If your country is not on the exemption list, you are required to obtain a visa prior to travel.

III. Recommended Visa Type

For most attendees, we recommend applying for either a DL (tourist visa) or DN (business visa). Since you are attending an academic conference, our suggestion is:

  • First Choice: E-Visa

    • Official Application Portal: https://evisa.gov.vn (This is the only official website. Beware of fake third-party sites.)

    • Applicable to: Citizens of eligible countries/regions.

    • Validity: Typically 30 days, single entry.

    • How to apply: Complete the online application, upload required documents, and pay the fee via the official portal. Print the e-Visa approval letter yourself upon approval.

    • Fee: Approximately USD 25–50 (subject to change based on official rates).

  • Alternative: Embassy/Consulate Visa (Sticker Visa)

    • If your country is not covered by the e-Visa system, or if you need to stay longer than 30 days, please apply for a visa directly at the nearest Vietnamese embassy or consulate.
